With our summer seminar series just around the corner, we'd like to take this opportunity to introduce what they are about!
First and foremost, Knippel Nursery seminars are completely free of charge and registration is not required. We have more than enough seats for everyone interested.
We will hold three seminars in July - Rose Care, Perennial Care and Shade Gardening - all of which are held twice: once on a Wednesday and again on the following Saturday. All seminars take place at 9:30am and usually last about an hour.
Seminars are held in the back of our greenhouse and begin with the distribution of information packages pertaining to that week's topic. These packages are great resources to refer back to and are yours to take home. Complimentary snacks and refreshments are also served (because we understand that 9:30am comes early - especially on Saturdays!).
The first portion will be a demonstrative lecture by one of our five horticulturalists: Peter, Joan, Kennedy, Marty or Bill. As they all specialize in different areas, the presenter is dependent on the content, but all are equal parts entertaining and informative!
Following this, there is a period of time reserved for questions and answers. Now's your opportunity to bring up concerns, inquiries or ask for advice on something that may not have been initially covered or that relates to your garden specifically.
