Now that the new growth has come out, it's a great time to prune your evergreen trees. Snip or gently pinch off some of the new tips to help encourage plant density and uniform shape. (Fun fact: the term "green thumb" as it pertains to gardening, was derived from the stains one would find on his thumb from pinching off the new growth in this way). So get out there and participate in a gardening tradition! Your evergreens will thank you for it.
